Back in June Jody and the Jerms played a memorable gig at the Bullingdon in Oxford, as part of our Flicker tour.
Well, it was certainly memorable for me, as Niall encountered a technical issue with his guitar during the middle of “Sensation”, which caused him to knock an entire pint of cider – which I had been looking forward to drinking – down the side of the stage. I was then distracted for the rest of the song by someone mopping up around my feet.
We recorded the gig and have picked out four of the best songs – “Spinning”, “Never Going Home”, “Get Me Out” and “The Harder I Try” – to issue as a live EP, which is out today on your favourite streaming platform. We thought long and hard about what to call it, before deciding on the ingenious title “Live at the Bullingdon”.
Obviously, nothing can compare to the atmosphere of a live gig in person, so the good news is that you can catch us again at the Bullingdon on Friday 23 December (supporting The Shapes’ Christmas party) and next year on Friday 31 March (headlining). Or see our live page for various other upcoming gigs!
