Jody and the Jerms at the Hare and Hounds in Birmingham, September 2023

I am one of Jody and the Jerms.

“It’s almost like power pop, a bit Bangles… or jangle pop. Lovely.”

Mark Radcliffe & Stuart Maconie, BBC 6 Music

“Jody and the Jerms’ sound harks back to those untouchable days indie music enjoyed in the 90s, possessing seemingly effortless melodies and choruses which embed themselves in your head for days.”

XS Noize

We are:

  • Jody Jeger – vocals
  • Niall Jeger – guitars and backing vocals
  • Robert Anwood – keyboards
  • Sam Hutchinson – bass
  • Steve Clark – guitars and backing vocals
  • Richie Wildsmith – drums
  • Peter James Millson – guitars and backing vocals

Oh, and if you’re curious: up to and including 2023’s Wonder album, we had Dave Meaden on bass and Alex Bridge on drums; and on 2025’s Love Descends you’ll hear Salma Craig on backing vocals. All still good friends of the band, who you might see at a gig from time to time! And to confuse matters slightly, Steve Clark, who played drums on Love Descends, switched in 2026 to guitars and backing vocals, with Richie Wildsmith joining us on drums for live performances. Maybe if we ever get a Wikipedia page, someone can create one of those coloured bar charts showing who was a member when…
