“Sensation”: New EP out on Monday

On Monday 10 May Jody and the Jerms are releasing our new EP, “Sensation”, comprising three original songs plus an updated version of “Never Going Home”, which features new keyboards, guitars and backing vocals.

• Sensation
• Nemesis
• Sunshine Ray
• Never Going Home (Phillips/Porter)

We’ve had some great radio play for the EP so far, including BBC 6 Music (Mark Radcliffe & Stuart Maconie) and BBC Wales (Janice Long) in the UK and Plástico Elástico (Pacopepe Gil) and RTVE Radio 3 in Spain.

From Monday it’ll be on the usual streaming services like Spotify, Deezer and Apple Music. In the meantime you can pre-order a limited edition CD, with signed art print and two bonus songs, from the Jody and the Jerms Bandcamp page.

And if you need some convincing, here are some highlights from reviews of the EP:

“Well. This is catchy… Everyone shines through on this, and for a first time listener this is a great place to start… Is that a Hammond organ? Yes. Yes it is.”

Del Owusu for The Songbird

“Infectious post-pandemic indie-Americana hybrid.”

Billy “Two Jabs” Redhead for The Rocking Magpie

“To be a sensation, one must endeavour to be more than just an attractive diversion, one must be ready to be alert to the possibility of being a legend. Jody and the Jerms have that in their sights.”
